Tashlich will be held at the pond near the Barney Road Clubhouse immediately following services. Tashlich literally means “cast away” and is a ceremony observed on the afternoon of the first day of Rosh Hashanah. Sins are symbolically cast away into a natural body of water. Small pieces of bread are traditionally used to represent sins which are then tossed into the water. Please bring a few pieces of bread of any kind – the more varieties, the better! Be sure to wear comfortable shoes.
